Nambucca Valley Local Food Network

Inspired by the success of the Bellingen Local Food Network, a group of local residents have come together to promote local food in our valley – the growing of it, the distribution of it and the eating of it!

We want to create a network of people who think eating locally is important, who want to support our farmers, strengthen our economy and secure our food supply in these changing times. We want to make it worthwhile for our farmers to grow food – we do not think that receiving 8cents in the dollar is a reasonable return. We want to reduce the distance that our food travels to get to us – why should food that is grown here be sent down to Sydney, only to be brought back up here so we can have the pleasure of eating it? Let’s simplify things, get back to basics. Live local, eat local.

If you already grow food to sell, would like to, or simply grow more food than you can eat, we would love to have you at our launch. If you like your food fresh, local and affordable, you are just the people we need.
